A snag visit was conducted with the contractor, consultant and the SSDF Project Unit on August 8, 2017 regarding the Miraj Sachs day care centre.
Initially, the building was expected to extend to the top floor; however, only the ground floor could have be utilized for daycare purposes for obvious safety reasons. The existing structure was in a dangerously deplorable condition. The building was infested with mold, steel was visible from structural beams, plumbing and electrical work were compromised as most outlets and pipes did not function. During heavy rains, water seeped through some of the electrical outlets which resulted in malfunction.
